Our Training Pathway
Every dog’s journey is different, which is why we offer two entry points into training, both leading to our advanced Out and About course.
Level 1: Essential Skills - Puppies is designed specifically for puppies under 6 months. It introduces essential skills in a way that suits their stage of development and sets them up for success.
Level 1: Essential Skills - Dogs is for dogs over 6 months, including adolescents, adults, and rescues. It covers the same key foundations but at a pace and approach that suits older dogs.
Level 2: Out and About is for all ages bringing your existing training together for real-world environments, preparing you and your dog to feel confident and capable in everyday adventures.
No matter where your dog starts, our pathway ensures they learn the skills they need in a way that’s right for them.

Loose Lead Walking Workshop Saturday September 13th! 〰️
This 6 week course is designed for puppies under 6 months old who are either brand new to training or have just finished baby puppy school.
In this program, puppies learn core skills including basic cues, focused attention, impulse control, the beginnings of loose lead walking, and the foundations of recall. Level 1 Essential Skills- Puppies is tailored specifically to the developmental stage of younger puppies. We keep sessions flexible, with plenty of opportunities for rest and short bursts of focus, understanding that young pups can tire more easily or become distracted in new environments and around other dogs.
When appropriate, we also include some carefully managed playtime, depending on the group mix.
By the end of this course, your puppy will be well-prepared to progress to our Level 2 Out and About program.

Loose Lead Walking Workshop Saturday September 13th! 〰️
This 6-week course is designed for puppies over 6 months, as well as older dogs and rescues.
In this program, dogs work on the same essential skills as our younger puppy class: basic cues, focused attention, impulse control, the beginnings of loose lead walking, and the foundations of recall. What sets this course apart is that the pace and approach are adjusted to suit the needs of each dog. Adolescents may test boundaries, become easily frustrated, or encounter new fears, while older or rescue dogs may need a little help to gain confidence and learn behaviours.
Using positive reinforcement, patience, and consistency, you’ll learn how to work with your dog as a team while strengthening the bond that makes life together easier and more enjoyable.
By the end of this course, your dog will be well-prepared to progress to our Level 2 Out and About program.

Out and about
This 6-week course is for dogs and puppies who have completed one of our Essential Skills courses, or another approved training program, and are ready to take their skills into the real world.
In this program, you and your dog will learn how to navigate training in more distracting environments. The goal is to give you the confidence to enjoy outings, whether it’s a walk at the park, a visit to a café, or even a trip to Bunnings, knowing that your dog feels safe and you feel prepared.
Skills covered include extended stays, closer loose lead walking, responding to cues from a distance, maintaining focus around distractions, and even a few fun tricks to keep training engaging.
By the end of this course, you’ll feel confident in your partnership and well-equipped to continue building your dog’s training for life.
